FIRST-TIME FESTIVAL PERFORMERS

Volo Aerial Arts
Kate Kislingbury - aerialist - will take center stage on 22nd and Postoffice Street during the Grand Kids Festival. Kate Kislingbury was born and raised in Texas, where she studied classical ballet in Galveston before moving to Austin. We are thrilled to have her perform at the Festival.

Mary and Neil Early are a dynamic husband and wife duo. These two are amazing storytellers who incorporate puppetry, music and creative dramatics into their performances. We are pleased to welcome them to the Festival.


Sarah Allison is a children’s author, elementary school teacher, and a “big goal” person. She grew up in Southern California and currently lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and 2 daughters. Her stories celebrate families, cultures, languages, food, and traditions. Enjoy her love of storytelling on our storytelling stage.



Lemon Zone
The Lemon Zone makes its this year! Pick up a back pack and learn how to be an entrepreneur, dance on the lemonade bus, build your Lemonade Day stand or participate in the Best Lemonade tasting contest. All prepares you for Lemonade Day Galveston on May 6.

Sara Hickman comes to us as a performer who is listed on the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster. She is a singer/songwriter who has performed at house concerts, hospitals, prisons, theaters, children’s events, conferences, festivals and all the way to Carnegie Hall and the Tonight Show. Her concerts are uplifting, connective and full of joy, whether performing for 50 people or 5000. She has released 14 albums for adults and 3 for children, winning multiple awards for her music and humanitarian efforts in the U.S. and abroad.

Performer Sheran Goodspeed Keyton’s storybook character, Mrs. Dipsworth, is an interactive storyteller. This Fairy Godmother reads all the while teaching children to boogie.

Jump Rope Warriors

The Rope Warriors are a competitive Jump Rope Team based in Katy, Texas, just west of Houston. The team was founded by two parents of competitive Jump Ropers who wanted to provide the kids in the Katy area an alternative sport. In addition to all the health benefits that the sport of Jump Rope has, it is a complimentary to all other sports.
Their mission is to help promote physical fitness and foster confidence, discipline, responsibility and leadership through the sport of Jump Rope.
The Rope Warriors are truly an international team. There are jumpers from the United States, China, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico, ranging from ages 6 to 16 years old.

Margaret Clauder TCA artist
Margaret knows kids. She has performed for thousands of children in hundreds of schools and libraries all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Now through her virtual programs she can perform all over the USA and abroad! She delights audiences with her interactive storytelling, puppets, ventriloquism, magic and humor. Getting children to remember a message is much easier if they “Laugh as they Learn.”

Tom's Fun Band
Tom’s Fun Band is a fun and interactive musical group who provides entertainment for children ages 2 - 8. This group consists of acoustic guitar, ukulele, bass and drums and features the original songs of group founder, Tom Wilbeck. Tom’s Fun Band has been in action since 2007 and has played more than 100 shows per year since its inception. Tom’s Fun Band is more than just great children’s music! The band works hard to bring world class silliness to every show in a manner that is entertaining to all and never offensive. Adults will have fun and the kids will have the time of their lives when the music starts and the dance party erupts.


Tipi Tellers tell Earth stories to teach listeners of all ages how to appreciate the earth, and how to help preserve its natural resources. Check out these stories in the giant, an iconic tipi in the center of 21st Street, where the Tipi Tellers eagerly await the curious, the tired, and the lost, entertaining and filling all with stories and tipi history. Many cannot resist the pull of the tipi, returning again and again to hear just one more story.

Ryan's RazzMaTazz
Galveston resident Ryan Anderson, Founder of Ryan’s RazzMaTazz, is a familiar face around Galveston Island.
Ryan can be found sharing smiles at community and private events, at businesses, museums, story hours, school events, birthday parties, church and hospital events. Karen Anderson, Ryan’s Event Coordinator,
is a retired Early Intervention Specialist and Family Life Educator who shares Ryan’s passion for positive family enrichment.


Texas City Balloon Twisterz


Bruce Manners has combined family friendly stand-up comedy, world class juggling and audience participation to create a show best described as "Stand-up Juggling". in 2016, Bruce was asked to represent Texas juggling as an invited performer at the International Jugglers Association Festival in El Paso, Texas. Bruce has worked with acts as Penn & Teller, the Beach Boys, the Righteous Brothers, and Alice Cooper.
